Headed up to Kuleto Estate Winery to capture a celebration among close friends of Jahvini (who also hails from Illinois). Lots of laughter and hugs ensued and here are some of the results.
Introducing: Ziggy (Stardust) + (David) Bowie
We sadly lost (Bob) Dylan January 2016. It was very devastating. He was only 8 years old and such a majestic photogenic cat. We miss him dearly. Earlier last year, we adopted (David) Bowie. He is also handsome and very playful. A bit shy sometimes. And we're so grateful he came into our lives. Now, a year later, he has a sister, Ziggy (Stardust). She's the sweetest, most gentle, kitten we've ever had. We adore her to pieces.

Amie+Piotr get married
My sister, Amie, and now brother-in-law, Piotr, celebrated their marriage in Marco Island, Florida. She and Piotr are both artists and created all the decorations, chargers for the dinner plates, name card holders and so much more. Here are a few moments from the amazing weekend. Since I was matron-of-honor, not many photographs, but I did manage to get enough video. Amie's wedding photographer, Anastasiia Ostapovich, did an amazing job and I wanted to include her to showcase the majesty of their wedding. (Plus, I'm not a wedding photog).

NYC 2017
Late March, I headed east to NYC to celebrate with my sister and two of her close friends. I didn't think I would be the "life of the party" the night we went out, but alas. I digress. The Essentials of Indian Cooking class at the Institute of Culinary Education was a bit overwhelming even for a seasoned cook, but the instructor made it worth the while along with spending time with my sister, her friends and my mom. The school itself was very impressive. Our instructor gave us a behind-the-scenes tour of the school including the awesome hydroponic garden. Amazing meals at Blue Hill and Jungsik as well as the notorious pizza fiasco made for an eventful weekend in NYC. A very pleasant surprise was the Marco Polo Stufano Conservatory at Wave Hill. I could spend hours in there. I want to live there.
