NYC 2017

Late March, I headed east to NYC to celebrate with my sister and two of her close friends. I didn't think I would be the "life of the party" the night we went out, but alas. I digress. The Essentials of Indian Cooking class at the Institute of Culinary Education was a bit overwhelming even for a seasoned cook, but the instructor made it worth the while along with spending time with my sister, her friends and my mom. The school itself was very impressive. Our instructor gave us a behind-the-scenes tour of the school including the awesome hydroponic garden. Amazing meals at Blue Hill and Jungsik as well as the notorious pizza fiasco made for an eventful weekend in NYC. A very pleasant surprise was the Marco Polo Stufano Conservatory at Wave Hill. I could spend hours in there. I want to live there.

Engagement/Proposal: Justin + Julian

I'm excited to share this surprise proposal/mini engagement session. Justin had a vision and a plan for his lady to propose at a winery/vineyard. Although there wasn't any canopy in the vineyard, we improvised with a barrel room and session outside in mustard flowers. Definitely a learning experience as this was my first proposal. They were such a great couple to work with. Despite all the shaking from the nerves, Justin's love for Julian shone through.

Happy 2017

Though most of December was spent under the weather, nothing but some nice sunshine and relaxation can't cure. I headed to southwest Florida for the holidays. A last minute mini engagement session was sprung on me as well. Here's to 2017!

Italia Extravaganza

After several months, (thank you, harvest) I'm finally able to share highlights of my trip to Italy back in August. We ate pasta. Drank lots of vino. And just enjoyed each other's company away from "reality". I even got patched up at a tourist hospital in Rome. (It wasn't like escaping a near-death experience atop the Duomo was enough.) Traveling with anyone can be challenging, but Harry and I both agreed that we would definitely go on future trips with Caroline and Ed. We had fun exploring and can't wait to go on more adventures.
